Home	This will be a a benefit exhibition for
	NEELANJANI VISUAL ARTS CENTRE NEELANJANI VISUAL ARTS CENTRE is a project currently in its infancy. It caters to a long felt need in the art circles of Auroville to have a centre that would provide a platform to artists in Auroville to showcase their work as well as reach out to the larger public outside our bio-region; to be run by the working artists themselves - to support, nurture, organize, plan and create together and finally have a platform from which to sell their work. Initially set up by a close-knit group of six, this project aims more at being inclusive than exclusive, welcoming many more Auroville artists and like-minded Aurovilians into its fold. Visitors coming to the Visitors Centre will be able to see firsthand the works of the members of this project as well as get more information about them. In addition, NVAC expects to organize benefits, weekend art markets, shows in and outside of Neelanjani Center, distribute artwork in the community and create art projects within the community. When this project is up and running it will create a wider visual learning and appreciation environment for all of Auroville. The boutiques at the visitors centre are doing the good work of selling well crafted Auroville products. NVAC will be the window to sell Auroville art and connect it with the world outside. Our first job is to raise funds to complete the building of the space. To that end Art on Sunday is organising this benefit exhibition named "Mainly Red." Half of the revenues will be donated to NVAC. Especially for this benefit exhibition we will reduce the prices by half. We offer a few candle sticks at a specially attractive price.
